Living in accordance to the will of God

ROMANS 12:2

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

              “The greatest miracle that God can do today is to take an unholy man out of an unholy world and make him holy, then put him back into that unholy world and keep him holy in it.” –L.Ravenhill. Imagine a stained white dress, washed and made clean again. But unfortunately, it was stained again. It is by God’s grace that we have been saved, and it is by faith in Jesus Christ that we have received righteousness. One of God’s goal for us is to remain in His righteousness, be set apart and be obedient to do what is good and pleasing to Him. The Lord wants our mind and life be aligned to the design of heaven and not to the pattern of this world. If we allow the world to have rule in our mind we will not be able to faithfully follow God’s will and we will not reap the fruits that are waiting for the disobedient.

              We must stand and live in the way that God called us. We need to turn our back away from the lust of this world. We are for God, transformed and renewed for His glory.

Reflection:

              Are you still conforming to the pattern of this world? God called you to be set apart.

Prayer:

              Oh Lord, I humbly come before you. Please forgive me if I have conform to the pattern of this world. Lord, please come and transform me. Renew my mind and heart, I long to do your will.
