“Conquering Battles: Trusting in the God of Victory”

2 CHRONICLES 20:15

“He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.”

Read: 2 Chronicles 20:1-23

This life is full of battle. It is true that just like King Jehoshaphat we are surrounded by our enemies. We can consider poverty, depression, anxiety, and temptations as our enemies. And sometimes we cannot deny the fact that the battle is too hard. There will be a time where our faith will be shaken. However, we are of victory and not of defeat. We have a God who gave victory to His people. God told King Jehoshaphat not be afraid or discouraged, He gave him the word that the battle is God’s.

We also have received that promise, our God never changed. The God of Jehoshaphat is our God. We must not allow fear and discouragement, or any battle to defeat us. Let us be still, on our knees in the presence of our God for He will fight for us. In Him and with Him there is no defeat.

Reflection:

What is your battle today? Do you feel like giving up? Always remember, your God is the God of Victory. He will surround you with songs of deliverance and victory.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for you my God is the God Who promised to fight for me. Help me to be still, and trust you in this battle. I believe with you I will gain victory.
